The 50th regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is taking place from 13th June – 8th July 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland. Muhammad Asif Pahnwar spoke in Item 3: Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association on 17 June 2022 on behalf of Global Human Rights Defence.
In his oral submission, he discussed the plight of Sindhi people in Pakistan. He requested for an inquiry on the ongoing gross violations of human rights and urged the organization to take necessary action to protect the rights of Sindhi people for peaceful assembly and association.
