Dutch Parliament votes to recognise treatment of Uighurs in China as genocide

The Dutch parliament on Thursday passed a non-binding motion saying the treatment of the Uighur Muslim minority in China amounts to genocide. It is the first such move by a European country. The Dutch motion mentions that China's actions in Xinjiang include birth control measures that fall under the UN genocide convention.
