Food Crisis as a result of bad drought in Madagascar

In Madagascar, there is a major food crisis happening. In fact, the island is experiencing the worst episode of drought in 40 years. People have to move to find a solution. According to Amnesty International, people are trying to survive any way they can by eating cactuses, but also by selling their goods to raise money to buy food. Moreover, because of the sanitary restrictions it’s hard for Madagascar to receive aid with closed borders. Food is a basic essential need, and the situation is very concerning for the Madagascan population who are deprived of this basic human right caused by global warming.
