World Sindhi Congress (WSC) Event

The WSC is a prominent human rights education and advocacy organization for Sindh and Sindhis, with their main objective being to establish an infrastructure to teach and disseminate educational materials to the public (World Sindhi Congress, 2021).

During an event held on Sunday September 19 at 1.30 PM at the Sindhi Centre on the Kenton Road in Harrow, England, the Sindhi Baloch Forum (SBF) is holding a Commemoration Reference, in memory of the late Sardar Attaullah Mengal, Balochistan’s first chief minister (Sindhi Baloch Forum, 2021).

Sardar Attaullah Mengal has recently passed away at the age of 93. His family confirmed that he had been ill for some time and was hospitalized at a private hospital in Karachi, Pakistan for the last week before his death (Geo News, 2021). He was a legendary Baloch leader and the founder of the Sindhi Baloch Forum (Sindhi Baloch Forum, 2021).

During the event, scholars, writers, human rights defenders, and political activists have highlighted Mengal’s life, legacy and contribution to the national struggle of the Balochistan community, and the cause of oppressed nations. The event was broadcasted via YouTube.
