Feminist organizations discussed the human rights situation of Venezuelan women in a hearing at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR). They highlighted the lack of protection, the invisibility of the victims when they ask for justice and protection and the absence of a dignified and fair procedure.

Some of the NGOs present at the hearing were the Venezuelan Association for Alternative Sex Education (Avesa), Caleidoscopio Humano, Centro de Justicia y Paz (Cepaz), 100% Estrogeno and Uquira. All these highlighted the reality that women, girls and adolescents live in Venezuela, as they do not have social protection from the State. “From January 1st to September 30th, 2021, 207 completed femicides have occurred, 30 in September alone. These events left a balance of seven orphaned children. There were also 11 frustrated femicides” denounced by Carolina Godoy from Cepaz.
