Due to allegations of the kidnapping and rape of a 10-year-old homeless girl, the Karachi police had detained two people as of Wednesday. The events occurred in Karachi's Clifton area last week on Sunday, according to the interrogation report provided by the South police it was revealed by one of the suspects that they had gone to a bathhouse at noon via his employer’s car. Later the two suspects met together at the Imtiaz Super Market, and were soon encountered by a young girl who they presumed to be between the age of 15 or 16. The young girl was spoken to by the two suspects, who then invited her to ride with them in their vehicle so they could buy her rations. One of the suspects revealed later that with his companion ““took the girl’s consent for the immoral act” in exchange for money and committed the act” (Ali, 2022). After her daughter was discovered on Sunday at 2 pm outside of the Dolmen Mall in Clifton with blood stains on her clothes, the mother of the 10-year-old girl subsequently filed an official complaint with the police. The two suspects were registered under the first information report (FIR) by the Boat Basin police “under sections 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of 14), 376 (punishment for rape) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code by the girl’s mother” (Ali, 2022).
