On 16 March 2023, the World Sindhi Congress organised yet another protest in front of the UN Human Rights Council at its 52nd session to draw attention to the long-standing human rights violations committed against not only the Sindhi people but also the Baloch, Kashmiris and Pashtuns. Furthermore, speakers recalled and highlighted the serious crimes that have been and continue to be committed against these groups through various means, such as enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, persecution of religious minorities, abduction and sexual and physical violence against women and girls.

The World Sindhi Congress has been advocating on behalf of the Sindi and Sindhi since 1988. The devastating effects of floods and rains, as well as extrajudicial killings and forced conversion of Sindhi girls, were at the heart of the protest. They accused the Pakistani government of negligence and of not sending rescue boats to those affected. Given the number of Sindhis affected, more than 20 million according to the World Sindhi Congress, and the lack of aid, the protesters called the issue "genocide". It was pointed out that after seven months of floods and disastrous rains, people are still homeless and hungry.

In addition, a memorandum was sent to the UN Secretary-General in which they asked the UN and the international community to set up a committee to investigate the floods and thus the crimes committed against the Sindhi people.
