The President of the African Court is Optimistic that the Deposition of the Declaration Will Arrive Soon

The three-day African Court sensitization mission in Mauritania from August 15th to 17th, 2022, appeared to conclude with the Prime Minister of Mauritania H.E. Mohamed Ould Bilal commending the work of the African Court in deepening human rights and the rule of law on the continent. Having Mauritania reiterated its commitment for the promotion and protection of human rights, the President of the African Court is optimistic the deposition of the Declaration will arrive soon. (African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, 2022).

Once again, the President of the Court, Hon Lady Justice Imani Daud Aboud reiterated the responsibility of Member States in ratifying the protocol for guaranteeing the effective functioning of the Court as a human rights protection mechanism (African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, 2022).
