The female TikToker assaulted by a massive crowed gathered at the ‘Minar e Pakistan’

It is reported that, in an incident that occurred on 14 August, a female TikToker was assaulted by a massive crowed of men gathered at ‘Minar e Pakistan’. Subsequently, on 17 August, a video was circulated on social media, leading to a public outrage.

Moreover, the Lahore police registered criminal cases under the ‘Pakistan Criminal Code’ against 400 unidentified persons for assaulting and stealing from the woman and her companions. 

 On 18 August, it is further reported by the ‘Dawn’ news that the Lahore Police are tracing those involved in the heinous incident. The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that the suspects were being identified through videos of the incident shared on social media, safe city cameras etc., and the photos and videos are being sent to the national database for further investigation.

The Punjab Chief Minsiter’s focal person for digital media, on 18th August, assured that “strong and non-bail able clauses’ were being added to the registered cases.
