Suicide bombing in Tunisia

A female suicide bomber ended her own life and that of her baby during a counterterrorism operation. 

During the operation, Tunisian forces were tracking an extremist group in the Mount Salloum area of the Kassertine province. A suspected extremist was killed. Consequently, his wife killed herself and her baby by activating an explosive belt. According to authorities, the baby was killed in her arms. Her older daughter, who was also at the scene, survived the bombing. 
Authorities also reported that this was the first time that a woman was present among the extremists taking refuge in the area.
