Stories from Afghanistan, Access to Human Rights under the Taliban Regime

Juan Carlos is a Salvadorian photojournalist who has been in Afghanistan since the beginning of August to cover the Taliban takeover of the country. Since his arrival in Kandahar, he has documented the war developments between the Taliban and the Afghan security forces as the frontline advanced into the city. From wounded soldiers and civilians, including children, to destroyed infrastructure; from people trying to desperately leave the country, to the airport gate bombings, in this visual testimonial Juan Carlos reflects the harsh reality of an ever worsening humanitarian crisis.
