Qatar Emir urges international community not to neglect Syria

Speaking at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, urged the international community not to turn a blind eye to Syria. He called on the General Assembly to double its efforts to end the crisis through a peaceful solution, as the Syrian issue continues to cause suffering to the Syrian people and imminent perils, including the threat of terrorism in the country, the region and the world.
