Papuans Refuse to Get COVID-19 Vaccines from the Government

Groups of Indigeneous People in Papua refuse to receive a coronavirus vaccine from the Indonesian Government in fears of an unknown substance that can poison the Papuans in a systematic vaccination program.
Decades of conflicts and human rights violations orchestrated by Indonesia's military and government have led the Papuans worried about the substance of the COVID-19 vaccines that came from Indonesia as they feared the vaccines could kill them. However they would gladly sign up for any dose administered directly by the World Health Organization.
Regardless of no definitive evidence of a genocidal plan by Indonesia, people have raised their voice against the vaccination program and angered the Security forces by arresting and beating civilians, according to the local media reports and rights groups.
