Opposition Parties Draft in Madagascar

0

The draft law on a new status of opposition parties within the Parliament was adopted on the afternoon of the 27th of May. It was proposed by Runellle Razafitsiandrofa back in 2019, and it was accepted with favor by the lowest chamber. However, senators were strongly opposed to its adoption and therefore the whole drafting process was delayed. Thanks to this new law, opposition parties will have more power and autonomy in the Parliament.
