The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, spoke on June 12th, 2021, on a broadcast to celebrate the 2021 Democracy Day in Nigeria. During the speech, President Buhari reviewed the past six years of his governance, claiming that there is a lot to achieve still, expressing commitment to improve the security situation in the country and to provide the environment for a free, fair, and credible electoral system in Nigeria. Finally, President Buhari promised to ensure that “enemies of state sponsoring crises across the nation” would be held accountable for their actions.
