Nigeria: Fourteen students released after forty days in captivity

Fourteen students at the Greenfield University in Kaduna, Nigeria were released on May 29th, 2021. These students were the last of the 20 students that had been kidnapped on April 20th, 2021, having spent about forty days in captivity. The fourteen students were left outside the city, along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway in central Nigeria, according to the spokesman of the Nigerian police, Mohammed Jalige. These attacks have become extremely frequent in Nigeria, with a total of 730 children and students kidnapped in the country, since December 2020.
