Nigeria: Boko Haram, a terrorist organisation, demands N10m ransom for releasing 2 Chinese nationals

Boko Haram, a terrorist organisation that, amongst other things, terrorises the northern population of Nigeria by carrying out school kidnappings. This time, two Chinese nationals have been kidnapped and the kidnappers demand N10 million before the Chinese nationals will be released. The kidnapping took place on Monday 5th of April in Osun state is located in southwestern Nigeria, which differs from where the kidnappings normally take place – northern parts of Nigeria. The victims are 33 and 50 years old. The police are currently investigating and trying to ensure that the Chinese nationals remain uninjured.
