Nigeria: 15-year-old girl kept in captivity for 10 years without proper feeding or healthcare

15-year-old Aisha Jibrin, daughter of Rabi Mohammed has been locked up for 10 years in Darerawa Quarters, Fagge Local Government Area of the State. Aisha, the girl, did not receive proper feeding or health care during this time and she was supposedly kept in solitary confinement. The Police has said that good Samaritans called the police ultimately resulting in the release of the daughter and the arrest of the 35-year-old mother. Efforts are in progress to also arrest the father. The daughter had to go straight to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital for medical treatment.
