Mozambique ranks fourth in countries with high rates of HIV infection

According to Mozambican Health Minister, Armindo Tiago, Mozambique ranks fourth in the list of countries with high rates of HIV infections. The national average rate of HIV infections in the country is about 364 cases per day. The three countries in the list are South Africa, Nigeria, and Russia. Despite the government efforts to reduce the number of new infections, there are still lingering challenges, such as the stigma and discrimination. The government, however, continues to implement policies and strategies to reduce the number of new infections, such as access to health care and treatment for people with HIV.
