Minor girl kidnapped and raped by her neighbour in Karachi, Pakistan

An 8-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by her 20-year-old neighbour in the outskirts of the city of Karachi.
A man had informed the police that an 8-year-old girl was present in the Soomar Goth near Ayesha Masjid. It became apparent that the girl was kidnapped and raped only a few hours before by a young man, who had already fled the scene. Police have now claimed to have arrested the suspect and to have registered a case against him on complaint of the victim’s family.
The victim girl was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to undergo a medical examination. This examination indeed confirmed that the girl was raped. An additional Police Surgeon described the incident as a “horrible rape case of a minor girl” which left several injuries on her body and showed her being subjected to violent sexual assault (Dawn, 2021).
