Imran gets bail in seven cases related to Islamabad court violence

There has been following information on Imran Khan’s case. The cases against the 70 year old previous Prime Minister include corruption, contempt of courts and even blasphemy. Khan had filed a petition at the court asking for a protective bail in cases that were all connected to the ‘’Toshakhana’’ one (Toshakhana was established in 1974 and it refers to department stores gifts and other expensive items received by public officials. It is mandatory for officials to report the gifts and other such materials received by them to the Cabinet Division). The petition argued that Khan would face ‘’irreparable loss’’ if he were to be arrested. The lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar argued that he had acquired protective bail for Imran Khan from the Lahore High Court (LHC), after which he arrived at the judicial complex but was not allowed to proceed further. Moreover, the justice admitted that Khan had been attacked once so the security threats to him must be genuine. Justice Farooq researched  what the petitioner would do if the administration gave careless statements, to which he replied that the party would arrange its own security if the administration did not provide it.

Finally, the judges granted interim bail to Khan.
