Improvements Promised on the Law on the Rights of Transgender Persons

On the 2nd of November, the district administration organized an open forum in collaboration with NGO Saibaan Development Organisation. With this, Deputy Commissioner Nazima Shaheen provided planned improvements to the law on Transgender persons, thereby addressing more issues. These improvements are in regards to education, community centers, public restrooms, and housing. The event was attended by The Deputy Commissioner, transgender persons alongside Christians and Hindus from Balakot, Mansehra, and Oghitehsils.
