Humanitarian Support: Pakistan Delivers Fourth Aid Batch to Gaza During Israeli Aggression
Global Human Rights Defence
In the face of ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, Pakistan has sent its fourth aid shipment to the beleaguered region, delivering 20 tonnes of medical and food supplies. The special flight carrying the relief goods was received by Pakistan's Ambassador to Jordan and the Jordanian Chief of Air Staff, who will oversee the distribution to those affected in Gaza. The health ministry in Gaza reported that, during the 100 days of Israeli aggression, nearly 24,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, with an additional 60,582 people wounded.
As Israeli airstrikes persisted, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on the 100th day of aggression that "no one will stop us" from destroying Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza. The relentless bombardment, which has predominantly claimed the lives of women and children, has prompted a humanitarian crisis, and concerns are growing that the conflict could expand across the region.
In response to the situation, fresh strikes targeted Huthis in Yemen, who had previously warned of more attacks in support of Gaza against what they perceived as Israeli-linked Red Sea shipping. The US Central Command confirmed hitting a Huthi radar site. Despite arguments at the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of breaching the UN Genocide Convention, Netanyahu asserted that Israel would not be deterred, stating, "No one will stop us — not The Hague, not the Axis of Evil, and no one else." He vowed to continue until victory, claiming that most Hamas battalions in Gaza had been "eliminated."
Demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinian cause, Pakistan remains dedicated to easing the hardships faced by the affected populace. The dispatched shipment to Jordan serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Pakistani people to support their fellow brethren amidst these difficult circumstances.
As global observers monitor the unfolding events in the area, Pakistan's humanitarian assistance emphasizes its dedication to principles of compassion and support for the marginalized. The international community is called upon to take resolute measures to halt the violence and tackle the root causes fueling the enduring conflict.
