Humanitarian emergency declared in Antioquia due to attacks on indigenous communities

0

The National Organization of Indigenous People of Colombia (Onic) declared a humanitarian emergency in Antioquia due to the continuous harassment by illegal groups, mainly the Gulf Clan and the National Liberation Army (ELN), that have caused the force displacement of hundreds of families to the urban areas. Their greatest fear is the explosive devices installed by the guerrillas around the main rivers affecting the agriculture, finishing and education. With the declaration of humanitarian emergency, indigenous communities demand greater attention by local authorities.
