After the clashes of last Thursday that killed seven people in Beirut, the Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, claimed that the group has never been stronger, having around 100,000 trained fighters.

Nasrallah blamed the Christian Lebanese Forces party and its leader Samir Geagea, reiterating accusations that they were responsible for the killings and the eruption of street violence in the Lebanese capital, the worst in over a decade.

Nasrallah also accused the Lebanese Forces of having an agenda of “civil war”.Despite his accusations, the Hezbollah chief also reassured that the movement is protecting their rights and is allied with the largest Christian party, the Free Patriotic Movement, underlining their unwillingness to any conflict.
