Half as many births in Xinjiang since the implementation of alarming coercive fertility policies

As a report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) shows, birth rates in Xinjiang fell by almost half in the two years after the Chinese government implemented policies to reduce the number of babies born to Uyghur and other Muslim minority families.

This constitutes adding evidence to accounts of forced abortion, sterilization, birth control as well as internment in camps for women who would not comply with the targeted governmental policy.
