Global Human Rights Defence.

Today, Tuesday, 20th of September, our “Silent Genocide” event will take place from 15:00 - 17:00 at Novotel Centre Geneva. This event will discuss the topic of human rights violations in Pakistan and Tibet, mainly focusing on enforced disappearances and genocide. Our panel consists of four panellists, all specialists on this matter:

Dr. Rubina Greenwood is the President and Founder of the International Sindhi Women's Organization (ISWO) and Chairperson of the World Sindhi Congress (WSC). Her 20+ years of human rights advocacy focus on human rights issues in Pakistan and Sindh.

Fanny Iona Morel is a project and program coordinator at the Swiss Tibetan Friendship Association. She is also the researcher and author of Whispers from the Land of Snows: Culture-based Violence in Tibet. This study looks at violence against Tibetans committed by the PRC, and relates it to the genocide through testimonials of Tibetans who have found asylum in Switzerland.

Dhreen Abdullah is a young Balochistan activist and member of the Baloch National Movement.

As a special panellist, Dr. Naseer Dashti will join us as a panellist, sharing his view on genocide and Enforced Disappearances in Pakistan.
