Forced conversions in Pakistan continue

A wave of fear and anger was seen among Sindh’s Hindu community in Pakistan on 28th February,2022, following the kidnapping of a 14 year old Hindu Minor girl, Miran from Mirpurkhas, Sindh. Miran was kidnapped from her house by a Muslim man Asif Halipoto. There was a fierce protest by the girl’s family and the Hindu community of Sindh. The kidnapping of Hindu girls and forced conversion are not new in the Sindh province. Pakistan’s Hindu Council says four Hindu girls every month are forced to convert to Islam.
