Food Self-Sufficiency Remains Elusive for Millions - Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe, a study conducted by the Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZZP) and Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum showed that food self-sufficiency remains problematic. Despite the government’s effort to build several food nutrition policies and institutional frameworks to facilitate food and nutrition, it contradicts itself by still enabling politicization of food in Zimbabwe. The report states that the policies and frameworks in place still needs compliance and enforcement in all levels. Civil societies and NGOs are encourage to advocate for depoliticization and non-discrimination of the food aid distribution.
