On Monday, 25th of October 2021, Rawalakot opens the first female-dominated police station. The purpose is to build the confidence of women in seeking support in any injustice or legal advice.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tajik, focussed on the low international rating of Pakistan in promoting and safeguarding women’s rights and stated that the opening of this police station is an extra step towards a higher rating. The station would focus on investigating complaints about harassment of women in workplaces or educational institutions, cyberstalking, child abuse, domestic issues mainly violence whereby women are victims or accused.
