EU and Turkey meet to discuss their future

European Union’s top leaders are scheduled to meet with the Turkish President to discuss their relationship’s future. Charles Michel, the European Council President and European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen, will discuss economic, diplomatic and health-related matters. The European Union aims to help Turkey with more funding directed towards the Syrian refugees within Turkey. Turkey is encouraged to de-escalate the tensions over the disputed maritime border with Greece and put effort into talks with Cyprus, a divided island.
