Global Human Rights Defence,

Marking International Human Rights Day, the Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) raised their issues concerned with human rights violations of minorities residing in Pakistan.

HRFP, in collaboration with Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD), organized an event in Faisalabad on the UN theme of ‘EQUALITY’. At the event, human rights groups raised their issues concerning human rights violations of minorities in Pakistan. Minorities, women, and children are most vulnerable, and there is an alarming increase in abductions, forced conversions and forced marriages of minority girls, says Naveed Walter, President of HRFP. Meanwhile, the culprits and facilitators of these heinous crimes, are never brought to justice.

HRFP will issue an annual report, to be published in January 2022, about the atrocities committed on minorities in Pakistan in the year 2021.

In different parts of the world, such as Vienna, The Hague, Paris, Taipei, political activists also took the streets on the occasion of International Human Rights Day (World, 2021).
