A new online platform called Cities4Cities has been created to help Ukrainian cities face the unlawful aggression from the Russian Federation. This initiative was taken by the President of the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, Mr. Bernd Vöhringer. In addition, Mr. Vöhringer had the support of of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe in developing and launching the online platform.

The aim of the online platform Cities4Cities is to connect Ukrainian cities with any European city who wishes to help in order to “provide help and support local infrastructure in Ukraine” during this time of hardship. In addition,

“The Cities4Cities platform is an online exchange tool, allowing interested local authorities to register and share their needs or offers in a few clicks, indicating the contact services for a direct connection”.

The online platform Cities4Cities was launched on the 29th of March 2022 and is now available for use by any users. The website to the online platform can be found on this link and an online account must be created to access Cities4Cities.
