Aid groups warn of 'impeding humanitarian crisis' in Afghanistan

International aid agencies together with Doctors Without Borders have reported that the healtcare system in Afghanistan is in crisis. A great number of medical workers and staff have been evacuated during rescue missions after the Taliban takeover. The situation is worsened also due to the fact that the number of patients in hospitals has increased but hospitals are running out of medicine, whilst the whole country is also running out of food. Various international organisations are investigating the case and are due to provide humanitarian help and resources, yet it has not determined whether that will come from a specific NGO and if yes, from which.
