After Afghanistan, doubt and fear hangover Iraq

After the start of the chaotic withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, it is now the turn of the Iraqis to fear the departure of US forces from their country. Last

July, President Biden met with Iraqi Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and they decided to withdraw US troops by 31 December. Democratic President Joe Biden's main objective is to disengage the US from conflicts in the Middle East, and Iraq is on the chopping block.

Indeed, if US forces leave the country altogether, many Iraqis are worried about a new resurgence of the Islamic State or a takeover by Shiite militias.
