Arnhem breaks ties with its sister city of Wuhan over China’s treatment of the Uyghur people

In a surprising decision, the majority of the Arnhem city council, the capital of the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands, voted against the mayor’s plan to continue the relationship with Wuhan, its Chinese sister city, and to stay in dialogue with China about human rights according to De Gelderlander.
