A prominent refugee advocate who supports Rohingya people seeking refuge from Myanmar, has to hide because of threats against his life. Only recently he made public that he is hiding since one year, moving towards a secret place and not sharing his location for the sake of being safe. Over 100.000 Rohingya refugees are trying to seek asylum in Malaysia currently. However, they are considered as pariah people by Muslim-majority Malaysia. Thus, their presence leads to conflicts in the country.
